RAPPING AND SCRATCHING NOISES.
Normally this is the first manifestation of a Poltergeist ot ghost. It is the second most common occurence in paranormal cases after the movement of objects.
Generlly the noises start as scratching or rappings which can usually be heard by all present.
Often Animals are considered the cause in the first instance, But, the noises often become so loud they can be heard in the outer areas of the vicinity from the noises occured. Some noises become so loud the place in which they are occuring shakes.
SPONTANEOUS MOVEMENT OF OBJECTS
The spontaneous movement of objects is the most common event of Poltergeists. It is so common that some investigators would not call a report a Poltergeist unless it had the Spontaneous movement of objects. The objects can range in size, from a book skooting across the table, to a king size bed moving across the floor or sofa being over turned.
STONE THROWING
Stone throwing is another common manifestation of Poltergeists. Most Poltergeists use 'local' materials in their manifestations. For example, in a Garage in Nottingham, Ball bearings were thrown around. Also in most cases almost every stone looked as if it had been washed; there is not a trace of dirt on any.
APPARITIONS
Several poltergeists have been seen as apparitions. They are somestimes of people, and sometimes of animals. For example. Tripod, the three legged ghost cat at Boggo Road Gaol. There are also freguent reports of 'misty shapes' or ill-defined forms.
APPORTS AND DISAPPORTS
Apports are the appearance of objects which spontaneously appear to had either moved through a solid barrier such as a wall or materialied within a room, or area. The phenomenon could also be regarded as teleportation. Sometimes poltergeists apport gifts. For example, money, food, and pottery. In one case a family was given so old stail bread. When it was carbon dated, the piece of bread was dated to have been made in early egyptian time.
Dissapports are the exact reverse of apports. usually the object which is taken are of importance and value. For example Car Keys.
BLOOD
In some poltergeist cases blood has appeared, somestimes in alarming quantities.
FIRES
Fires are widely reported in poltergeist cases. Most poltergeists seem to be able to minic noises, but they can sometimes minic visual effects. In one cases, A whole house in North Aston, Oxfordshire was filled wit fire, BUT there was nothing burning.
WATER
Another frequent phenomenon in Poltergeist cases is the appearance of pools of water. The pools of water sometimes appear in strange shapes and sometimes they just burst through the walls.
ELECTRICAL INTERFERANCE.
Interference with a phone seems to be the most common poltergeist - related electrical effect. It seem pasoltergeists are able to adapt into their surroundings. In the beginning they got attention by banging clubs and throwing stones, then they rand servant bells, door bells and tapped on windows. Now they rings telephones, turn televisions on and off, and even put a CD in a CD player and turn it on. In one case a family would receive telephone calls from their own home or from their place of work. When they picked up phone the line was dead.
LEVITATION
As defined by the Ox ford Dictionary. Levitate - to rise and float in the air. This phenomenon had been reported in several religious mysticism, and sometimes in poltergest cases.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN. As defined by the Oxford Dictionary Levitation/ Levitate - to rise and float in the air.
Phenomenon - 1. a fact or occurrence that appears or is percieved, 2. event, happening, occurance, incident, occasion, spectacle, rarity, wonder, experience, senation.
Apparation - a sudden or dramatic appearence
Spontaneous - acting or done or occurring without external cause. |
